The works were carried out for an important client of SEMAT, owner of several plants dedicated to the production of clean energy from renewable sources with immediate water release.
The plant was built on the Oglio River, in the municipality of Darfo Boario Terme (BS), and is named "DARFO POWER PLANT."
The works involved both banks of the river and the riverbed, including the modernization of the existing weir, which had been worn down by flood passage. In addition to the construction of reinforced concrete works and the necessary roadways for both the construction and operation of the plant, an inflatable barrier was provided and installed on the new weir, capable of automatically regulating the water flow intended for production.
